It's been another looooooong season for Knicks fans. Their team stinks. Phil Jackson's hiring hasn't played out the way they expected it to. And despite some of the changes that have been made in recent years, the Knicks keep on losing. It's why one group of fans showed up to a game with paper bags over their heads earlier this season.

That apparently didn't bother Knicks owner James Dolan, though. He sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter recently and admitted that, while he's frustrated with the way the season has gone, he wasn't upset when he saw the fans wearing bags.

"No," he said. "The Knicks fans, by the way, have been great this year. The majority of them understand we're in a rebuild, we're moving as fast as we can, and they see our opportunities as being huge. I think they are, but it's all in Phil's hands."

And speaking of Phil, Dolan isn't ready to give up on Jackson just yet, in spite of the team's troubles this season.

"You got to believe, baby!" Dolan said. "I believe! I believe!"

Sigh. We'll give Dolan a little bit of credit here for keeping his head up during this tough time. But are Knicks fans really as optimistic as he thinks they are?
