Frank Gore is reportedly going to say so long to San Francisco and hello to Philadelphia. According to NFL Insider's Adam Caplan and ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gore has "told people he will sign with the Eagles this week."

From cutting Trent Cole to releasing cornerback Cary Williams and signing Byron Maxwell to trading LeSean McCoy for linebacker Kiko Alonso, head coach (and the man who oversees the player personnel department) Chip Kelly has been making moves left and right and he may not be done yet. There is, of course, the possibility of Chip trying to make a blockbuster move to trade up for Marcus Mariota.

At 31 years old, Gore is clearly up there in age, but he's still a force in the backfield as long as Kelly doesn't depend on him to be the workhorse running back next season. With Darren Sproles and Chris Polk expected to split snaps with the 10-year pro out of Miami, Chip has put together a nice offensive squad while also shoring up the defense with the aforementioned acquisitions of Alonso and Maxwell.

Now, they just need to determine if Nick Foles is their main man under center. Did we bring up Mariota yet?

UPDATE: Schefter shares some specifics of Gore's deal with the Eagles.

1.

Barring a breakdown in talks, Frank Gore expected to sign 3-year deal in which $7.5 million in first two years are guaranteed.
