In the days leading up to the Super Bowl earlier this month, a lot of people criticized Marshawn Lynch for refusing to speak to the media. We hope that those same people watch the clip above—which was released by TMZ Sports earlier today—and realize that when Beast Mode has something important to say, he will say it.
The video was captured last summer at a concert in Lynch's hometown of Oakland, Calif. In it, he pleads with the people in the crowd to stop resorting to violence—"I've been losing too many of y'all," he says—before handing the mic over and letting the concert continue. And while he doesn't say too much here, he says just enough to capture the crowd's attention and send a message.
See for yourself in the video. TMZ Sports also just released a clip of Lynch shutting down an interview request from one of their reporters. But this one is way more important and actually worth watching.
