J.R. Smith on His Easy Transition to Cleveland: 'All I Have to Do is Shoot Jumpers'

J.R. Smith keeps it real

Ever since the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert and The Gawd J.R. Smith in a trade earlier this season, they've begun to resemble the team everyone imagined when LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving came together.

And while Mozgov's size in the middle has shored up the Cavs once shoddy defense, while Shump and his high top do the same out on the perimeter, Smith's shooting and passing ability have fit in seamlessly as the Cavs turn in to a finely tuned machine.

Smith is back in New York City this weekend for All-Star festivities, as well as sliding in to as many DMs as possible, and he made an appearance at Nike Zoom City Bank as part of a Nike design panel. During the event, he was asked how the transition from the Big Apple to The Land was going. As always, Smith kept it real.

"It's been pretty easy," Smith said. "All I have to do is stand around and shoot jumpers."

You have to respect Smith when he says things like this. The dude is going to ride this Cavaliers wave deep into the playoff, and literally all he's got to do is shoot the basketball. Sounds like a pretty nice life.
