Yesterday, The Telegraph reported that Floyd Mayweather had finally agreed to a May 2 fight against Manny Pacquiao. But to be honest, we didn't believe it because, well, why would we? We've been lied to before. And as it turns out, we were right to be skeptical. Because during an interview with David Aldridge at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game tonight, Money Mayweather revealed that he hasn't agreed to fight Pacman.
"That's not true," he said when asked about the report. "I haven't signed yet and he hasn't signed yet. It's just been speculations and rumors, but hopefully we can make the fight happen."
In (somewhat) encouraging news, Mayweather did say that, if the fight happens, it'll definitely happen in May.
"I'm Mayweather," he said. "We have to make it happen in May."
But still...sigh. When is one of these reports actually going to be true?
