Earlier this week, former Knicks player Anthony Mason suffered a major heart attack. Fortunately, it took place while he was inside of a hospital, which allowed him to get immediate attention. But it still didn't sound like he was doing well as of Wednesday night:
He's still not out of the woods yet. But according to a New York Times report, Mason's health has "improved slightly" since Wednesday. His former agent Don Cronson—who has been in touch with Mason's family—spoke with the Times and revealed that he's optimistic.
"Right now, it's day to day," he said, "but that's an improvement from moment to moment."
Cronson also revealed that Mason may need a heart transplant at some point in the near future, though, so keep him in your prayers. We obviously wish the best for Mase and his family.
