Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork had a really busy night on Sunday. First, he helped the Patriots defeat the Colts 45-7 to advance to the Super Bowl. And while that'd be enough for most guys, he didn't stop there. In addition to helping his team, he also lent a hand to a motorist who was trapped inside of a vehicle on the side of a road near Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Wilfork was driving home after the AFC Championship Game when he came across an overturned Jeep on the shoulder of the road. He then pulled over and helped pull the woman to safety:

And when we say "helped," we mean that he stuck one of his arms into the vehicle, pulled a 38-year-old woman named Mary Ellen Brooks out of it, and then stayed with her until police arrived:

Sadly, the woman was found to be intoxicated when police arrived. So she was arrested and charged with drunken driving. But things could have been much worse if Wilfork hadn't come along and saved the day.
