Colts Punter Pat McAfee Wants to Know If Indianapolis Is Going to Replace the Patriots in the Super Bowl Because of #DeflateGate

Late last night, the NFL revealed that 11 of the 12 footballs that were used in Sunday's AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Colts were under-inflated by at least two pounds. That means that the Pats may have committed a pretty serious infraction by providing deflated footballs for the AFC title game. So very early this morning, Colts punter Pat McAfee took to Twitter to ask if Indianapolis will be replacing New England in Super Bowl XLIX in light of what the NFL found during their #DeflateGate investigation:

1.

If New England was to be DQ'd.. We'd be their replacements right??... I should probably lay off these strawberry margs

As you'd probably expect, Pats fans didn't find McAfee's tweet very funny. At all. And one guy—a Twitter user named Mike Gomes who went by the name @mike_gomes63 before deleting his account—sent McAfee a threat. So McAfee told him to come see him at the Pro Bowl in Arizona:

Then, after Gomes deleted his Twitter account, McAfee reposted the original tweet/threat that he received from him along with a message for the rest of his Twitter followers:

2.

Let's enjoy Twitter.. But please don't threaten 2 show up at my house..That's no way 2 treat people here in America pic.twitter.com/e5fdpQo6bm

Sadly—for McAfee, at least—the Colts will not be going to the Super Bowl this season. But hey, a trip to the Pro Bowl and a bunch of strawberry daiquiris is a nice consolation prize, right? Just don't let the Twitter trolls ruin your trip, Pat!
