It has been said time and time before, but we'll just go ahead and say it again: the Buckeyes' Ezekiel Elliot is an absolutely beast. In the Big 10 Championship game against the Wisconsin Badgers, Elliot had a breakout performance with 220 rushing yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns. The sophomore running back followed that up by rushing for 230 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns in the Sugar Bowl against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Tonight, Zeke kept the momentum going on the biggest stage of all: the CFP Championship Game

Couple Elliot's 246 rushing yards on 36 carries and four touchdowns with some clutch throws and short yardage runs by sophomore quarterback Cardale Jones and you can see why the Buckeyes came out on top, defeating the Oregon Ducks, 42-20, to win the first-ever College Football Playoff.

It took until the final week of the college football regular season, but the Buckeyes were able to barely fight off TCU for the coveted last playoff spot. A couple of weeks ago, analysts everywhere debated if the Buckeyes were truly deserving of the No. 4 seed. We know the answer now. With the odds stacked against them, Ohio State was able to surprise the Crimson Tide and stifling the Ducks' potent offense to prove to everyone why the CFP was such a brilliant idea.

Congrats, Buckeyes!
