Though its brand has never been stronger, this year, the National Football League has taken plenty of flak, for everything from the handling of domestic violence to referee gafs. But the league’s most-recent move certainly appears to be a great idea.

On March 22, the NFL will put on the inaugural Veteran Combine at the Arizona Cardinals’ training facility, where veteran free agents will go through the same drills and tests as young NFL hopefuls. All 32 teams will have representatives on hand to evaluate talent, and roughly 100 players will be chosen to attend the event. The NFL owner’s meeting is scheduled to take place March 22-25.
