Steven Gerrard is following David Beckham’s lead and heading to California.
L.A. Galaxy coach Bruce Arena has confirmed that the Liverpool captain will join them after he leaves Anfield at the end of the season. The move has been expected since it was announced that Gerrard would be leaving the club he has spent his whole career with.
Galaxy president Chris Klein stated that he thought Gerrard was “the perfect fit” for his side. The deal is expected to be officially announced on Wednesday.
Gerrard added that he was keen to succeed at Galaxy. "One of the reasons I chose LA Galaxy was because of the success they've had recently. I want to finish my career very strong. I want to add some medals and trophies to my collection."
