After suffering the injury last night against the New Orleans Pelicans, Kobe Bryant announced today that an MRI revealed a torn rotator cuff in his shooting shoulder.

There is no word on how the injury will impact Kobe's season. There have been instances of players playing through the injury in the past, but Los Angeles' lost season gives Kobe enough reason to sit out for the remainder of the year and opt for surgery instead. Stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE:

Welp.
