Dion Waiters on Why He’s Doing Well in OKC: “They Give Me the Ball”

Dion Waiters has an interesting theory on why he's doing so well since his trade to Oklahoma City.

Two weeks ago, Dion Waiters was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a three-team deal also involving the New York Knicks. Since that move, Waiters has thrived in OKC. The 23-year-old has scored at least 15 points in each of his last four games-a feat he failed to accomplish more than twice in a row in 33 games with Cleveland-and is shooting above 50 percent in that stretch.

One might wonder how Waiters has managed to find success so quickly in his new home, but according to the Syracuse alum the answer is pretty simple:

There you have it, folks. Some players just need the ball in their hands to be effective. Go figure.
