Regardless of whether you're an accountant, a garbage man, or the President of the United States of America, there's a pretty good chance that your job requires you to multitask throughout the day. It's the way of the world in 2015.
However, there are certain jobs that require intense focus, which means that you should not multitask while doing them. For example, would you want your doctor checking his Facebook feed while operating on you? Probably not. Or would you want your bus driver liking photos on Instagram in the middle of your busy commute? Not likely. And you also wouldn't want to watch a referee—yes, a referee—chatting on his phone during a game, would you?
No. But that's exactly what the ref in the clip above does. His phone rings while he's working. And rather than letting it go to voicemail, he answers it, starts talking, and then continues trying to do his job while he's on the phone. Granted, he's not a college or NBA ref. But still, he couldn't have waited until after the game to exchange pleasantries with whoever called him?
