There's so much happening with the Sacramento Kings right now it can be hard to keep up. First, DeMarcus Cousins goes down with viral meningitis after a blazing start. Then the Kings up and fire their head coach even though they were starting to look like a decent basketball team for once, and rumors began flying that owner Vivek Ranadivé wanted to his team to operate in some weird way that may or may not include going 4-on-5 on defense.

Now, according to Adrian Wojnarowksi of Yahoo Sports, the Kings are trying to nab Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams. The reported deal has Sacramento sending Darren CollinsonDerrick Williams and Jason Thompson to the Nets in exchange for Deron Williams, though Woj says the Kings would also like Mason Plumlee and the Nets don't seem to be down with letting him go.

With constant injuries to Brook Lopez and just overall poor play all around, the Nets seem pretty eager to deal Williams away as soon as possible and start some sort of mini rebuilding project. But what's even crazier? Derrick Williams, then no. 2 pick behind Kyrie Irving in 2011, could wind up playing for his third team in four years.
