What a weird day of NBA action, huh? Earlier today, the Kings' DeMarcus Cousins was ejected for throwing the Celtics' Marcus Smart to the floor. Then, just a short while ago, Russell Westbrook was tossed after receiving his second technical foul of the game against the Phoenix Suns. In the second quarter, Westbrook and the Suns' Alex Len nearly started a brawl when their tussle for the ball took a turn for the worst and the Phoenix big man took a swing at Russ.

On the very next possession, Westbrook converted the and-1 opportunity after getting fouled by Eric Bledsoe and started celebrating in the direction of the hometown crowd. The referees, however, thought Russ was taunting the Suns' bench and hit him with a second technical, ejecting him from the game.

Westbrook's absence may end up hurting the Thunder, who are headed into overtime with the score tied up at 128.
