A single golf ball isn't worth much money. But 42,000 of them? That's a jackpot.

It's why a 27-year-old Maryland Heights, Mo. man named Nathan Brown is under arrest right now. According to Maryland Heights police, Brown has stolen about 42,000 golf balls from a local driving range over the course of the last two years. It's unclear what Brown did with the golf balls once he got his hands on them. But he stole them during three separate heists, and the owners of the golf range claim they were worth approximately $20,000.

At this time, the police have only been able to recover about 2,000 of the missing golf balls. But Brown has admitted to stealing them and police are working on trying to recover the rest. What a weird crime to commit.
