Lance Stephenson Might Be on the Trading Block in Charlotte Already

Too soon?

The Hornets' 2014-15 season has not gotten off to a great start. Since winning the first game of the season in dramatic fashion, Charlotte has sputtered and is now just 4-14 on the year. And as a result, it sounds like they might be interested in getting rid of one of the free agents that they added in the offseason.

That free agent is Lance Stephenson, who is reportedly on the trading block right now because of his early season struggles. According to Grantland, Charlotte wants to make improvements at the shooting guard and power forward positions. And they would be willing to give up anyone except Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson to get some help. So there's a chance Stephenson could be on the move.

Of course, nothing is definite and there's a chance—a good chance—that Born Ready won't be traded away anytime soon. But it's crazy to think that, as recently as last month, Stephenson was viewed as the kind of player that could put the Hornets over the top and make them a legit contender in the Eastern Conference. And now, he might only last a few weeks with the team.

Stay tuned to see if this rumor leads anywhere or if Stephenson ends up staying put for the remainder of the year.
