Well, that didn’t take long.
After signing a contract in the offseason that many thought would be on the NBA’s best bargains, Lance Stephenson has already worn out his welcome with the Charlotte Hornets. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the team is actively looking for a trade partner upon whom to foist the mercurial shooting guard:

The most likely candidate for Lance? One would have to think it’s Indiana.
They’ve got the pieces (Chris Copeland, Luis Scola, and C.J. Watson’s expiring deals, George Hill), the support system (Pacers’ president Larry Bird is very close with Stephenson), and the need (a 7-17 record) to make a deal happen. Given Stephenson’s talent and Charlotte’s desire to move on, it seems like a trade will almost certainly happen soon.
