Prior to a basketball game between the Arvada and Alameda high schools in Lakewood, Colo. recently, Arvada head coach Roger Griffin told his team that he would not tolerate fighting of any kind during the game. So when a brawl broke out towards the end of the contest and one of his players Areeon Frilot ran out on to the court to try and help one of her teammates, Griffin was unforgiving. As you can see in the clip above—look to the far right of the screen during the brawl—Griffin ran out on the court after Frilot, grabbed her by her hair, and threw her to the ground.

"Everybody just ran to the fight," Frilot told 7NEWS later. "My intentions were to go and break up the fight and grab my girl off of their girl."

That never happened because of what Griffin did to her, though. And somewhat amazingly, the Arvada administration seems OK with it. Because while they punished Frilot for running on to the court during the brawl by kicking her off the basketball team, they didn't fire Griffin for what he did. In fact, they didn't suspend him or punish him at all.

Check out the video above to see exactly what happened. We get why Griffin would want to stop Frilot from fighting. But did he really have to go about it by tossing her by her hair?
