On Saturday night, the next winner of the Heisman Trophy will be named. Today, the finalists were revealed with Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper, Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon and Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota up for the distinct honor. Even though there are many people who believe Mariota is the clear-cut favorite to snag the trophy after throwing for 3,783 yards and scoring 52 total touchdowns (14 rushing) while posting the highest passer rating (186.3) in the nation, Cooper and Gordon have also made some incredibly strong cases throughout the season.

Gordon is the nation's leading rusher with 2,336 yards and in a Nov. 15 game against Nebraska, the Badgers back set a new mark for rushing yards with 408 on only 25 carries. And let's not forget about Cooper, who put himself in the conference record books with 115 receptions, 1,656 yards and 14 touchdowns.
