In a dominant showing, SUVs ruled the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The crop of vehicles this year, however, was much more varied. Some companies brought fantastical Gran Turismo Vision Concepts, while others debuted brand new sports cars in the U.S. for the first time. Some remained focused on sport utilities, while others chopped the top offs grand luxury sedans. I was on the ground at the LA Convention Center and was able to explore each and every stand, witnessing history in the car world. We were able to check out the new Mercedes Maybach S600, speak with reps from Volvo and Kia, experience the inside of an auto through Oculus Rift, and re-live those glorious Saturday mornings with Spongebob Squarepants. Peep the run-down above.
