Adam Schefter has reported this morning that the Chicago Bears may look to deal quarterback Jay Cutler this offseason:
Bears could trade Jay Cutler after this season and actually save $12.5 million against their cap. Other teams will have interest in Cutler.

Things have not been going well for the Bears of late, as they’ve lost three games in a row (and five of six), and last week became the first team since the 1923 Rochester Jeffersons to allow 50-plus points in consecutive games. Cutler, in particular, has come under fire as the Chicago offense has sputtered during their losing streak and the locker room has been plagued by reports of dissention.
Statistically, Cutler has actually had a pretty strong year. His passer rating (92.8) and completion percentage (66.4) are the highest of his entire career, and he’s on pace to throw the most touchdown passes of her career as well. He also signed a massive contract extension this offseason, which over the first three years averages $18 million per season. He will turn 32 this offseason, but has played in just two playoff games his entire career.
