In conjunction with American Express, the Brooklyn Nets are debuting a new program that will change the way Brooklyn fans pay when they come to watch their team play in the Barclays Center.

Available via the Brooklyn Nets app, the team's new eWallet system will allow spectators to pay for food and drink with a few, simple touches on their phone, making lines and transactions more streamlined and user-friendly than ever.

Using a fast and easy QR code reader, the eWallet connects with the credit, charge, debit, or prepaid card of your choice to create a completely paperless concession stand visit. Sick of stopping by the ATM before tip-off? The eWallet will make your arena experience as painless as possible.

“We are proud to become the first NBA arena to offer a mobile wallet program,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, via a press release from the team. “Brooklyn eWallet complements the state-of-the-art technology that’s already in Barclays Center and continues our goal to provide the best in-event experience of any sports and entertainment venue.”

“Visitors to Barclays Center are constantly using their smartphones around the venue. Now with the eWallet, they can easily and quickly buy food and drinks while interacting with digital content served up by American Express and the Nets,” added Joanna Lambert, the senior vice president of Product Development and Management for American Express. “This pilot program continues our innovative partnership with the Nets and Barclays Center to redefine the ways that fans connect and experience events.”

So, for those who are done carrying cash around, the eWallet is here for you. To take advantage of the new program, download the Brooklyn Nets app on the App Store or the Google Play store, and get yourself to a Nets game. The team's next home game is November 30, when Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls come to visit.
