The #FreeGurley campaign seems to have worked. Er, sort of.

Unfortunately, Georgia running back Todd Gurley will not be eligible to play for the Bulldogs this Saturday when they take on Florida. He also won't be able to play next weekend when they travel to Kentucky. But a short time ago, the NCAA announced that Gurley won't miss the entire 2014-15 college football season after getting suspended earlier this month for allegedly accepting cash payments in exchange for autograph sessions. Instead, they've handed him a four-game suspension and, because he has already been sidelined for two games, he will be eligible to return to the Bulldogs' lineup on November 15 when they take on Auburn.

Although Georgia has one loss so far this season, they still have a chance to make the College Football Playoff, especially if they finish strong and win the SEC Championship Game. So this news couldn't have come at a better time for them or their fan base.
