Nothing will stop Newcastle United midfielder Jonas Gutierrez.
Currently being treated for testicular cancer, the ex-Argentina international completed the Buenos Aires marathon on Sunday, running the race in support of Fuca (Foundation for Research, Teaching and Cancer Prevention).
Jonas – nicknamed Spider-Man thanks to his goal celebration of donning the webbed hero's mask – was part of a team hoping to raise awareness about the importance of detecting testicular cancer early.
Gutierrez is currently undergoing chemotherapy and announced he was suffering from testicular cancer in September.
Argentina players also showed their support.
After completing the 26.2 mile course Jonas tweeted: "Thank you very much to all the participants of the Buenos Aires Marathon 42k for the support and encouragement during the race."
