There are certain things in life you don't question, and Nick Young being known as Swaggy P is definitely one of them. God gave him that title in a dream. You can't retort that because there is no retort.
Jeremy Lin, a known Christian, isn't too amused. Although he was cool with Linsanity, the guard told the LA Times that he won't be calling him Swaggy P.
“I call him Nick Young,” said Lin after practice on Friday. “He’s super cool, but I just find it ridiculous that everyone comes in here and just calls him Swaggy.
“You’ve got to earn it or something. And maybe he has, but I just got here. Maybe I’ll adopt it eventually.”
“I guess there just has to be something that I see — that when I look at him he just glows with ‘swaggyness.’ I’m not there yet,” said Lin.
What? He has to earn it? He dates Iggy Azalea, was featured on GQ, and wants rookies to call him "Daddy Swag." He's earned it.
On second thought, we're missing the point if we're only talking about earning the title of Swaggy P. Swaggy P isn't something you become — it's something you are. Nick Young is Swaggy P. Swaggy P is Nick Young. Case closed.
