Jonathan Koppenhaver (AKA War Machine), the MMA fighter accused of brutally assaulting his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, made his initial appearance in a Las Vegas court on Wednesday. The former Bellator fighter pleaded "not guilty" to 32 felony counts, which mostly relate to an incident on August 8 that left Mack and another victim hospitalized, though some charges date as far back as 2013.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, War Machine faces charges of attempted murder, sexual assault, battery, coercion, preventing or dissuading a witness or victim from reporting a crime, and first-degree kidnapping resulting in substantial bodily harm. If convicted, Koppenhaver faces life behind bars without the possibility of parole. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 17. For more on the story, check out the video above.
