The Wake Forest football team isn't very good right now. So they've got to pull out all the stops when it comes to recruiting. And they just proved it by getting super creative with a pitch that they made to talented defensive end Kengera Daniel.
At the moment, Daniel is also being recruited by schools like Alabama and Michigan. So in order to try and stand out, Wake Forest had someone in their football department use Photoshop to create a People magazine cover featuring Daniel and Kim Kardashian and then sent it to him. The entire cover looks like this:
Pretty bad, right? Um, yes. Very bad.
This isn't the first time a college football team has tried this, either. Just last month, the University of Tennessee did the same thing when they created a fake Rolling Stone cover featuring recruit Shy Tuttle and Beyoncé. There's been no word yet as to whether or not it helped convince Shuttle to become a Volunteer. But if these Photoshops do wind up working, you can probably expect to see a lot more of them in the coming months and years—even if they make the rest of us want to rip our eyes out.
