It has been a fun media day throughout the NBA. Let's see. There was Marcin Gortat and Martell Webster's mohawks. Carmelo Anthony said he was "the most underrated superstar" in the league. And, of course, some light verbal jabs had to be thrown around. For that latter category, we give you Thaddeus Young, who had the following to say about filling the shoes of the stat sheet filler Kevin Love.
While Love is capable of putting up 20+ points and 10+ boards per game with relative ease, the major knock against him has been his inability to translate those numbers into a high number of wins, or better yet, a playoff appearance. Thaddeus, on the other hand, has been to the next level multiple times. Aside from 2012 where the Philadelphia 76ers competed past the first round, Young's postseason trips have been short-lived. Still, this is definitely something he can hang over Love's head. That is, until this season comes to an end.
