Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had to know this was coming, right? When he did an interview with Erin Andrews back in January after the NFC Championship Game and called himself the best cornerback in the NFL, he had to know that he was going to catch a lot of flack from NFL fans following Seattle's first loss of the 2014-15 NFL season, especially if he didn't play particularly well during it. Er, right?
Well, whether he was ready for it or not, Sherman came under attack on the social media site yesterday after Seattle's heralded defense got picked apart during a 30-21 loss to the Chargers in San Diego. Following the game—which featured Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers going, unofficially, 5-for-5 throwing in Sherman's direction—Sherman refused to speak with the media. But after he heard that several Chargers players had referred to him as "exposed" after the game, he did have this to say:
