LeBron James Is Trying to Help Eric Bledsoe Get Paid by the Suns

Do you think Phoenix will pay Eric Bledsoe after seeing the Instagram photo LeBron James put up this afternoon?

All summer long, Eric Bledsoe and his agent have been trying to get the Suns to give their starting point guard a big new contract. Bledsoe is reportedly looking for a contract worth somewhere in the range of $85 million over five years. But Phoenix has only offered him one worth about $48 million over four years. So it seems as though Bledsoe is going to play out his current contract—and then become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Or is he? Earlier this afternoon, Bledsoe worked out with LeBron James. And after their workout, LeBron took to Instagram to post a photo of him and Bledsoe and to send a not-so-subtle message to the Suns:

"Great work today lil bro @ebled2!!" he wrote on IG. "Future All-Star in this league in no time. PHX break bread. #Klutch #GymRats #StriveForGreatness."

If anyone except LeBron had posted that photo and that caption, we'd say, "NBD." But the fact that LeBron basically just told the Suns that it's time to pay Bledsoe says something. And if we were the Suns, we'd be second-guessing that $48 million offer and trying to come up with something a little bit more enticing for Bledsoe before the 2014-15 NBA season starts. Just saying...
