Hours after serving a 57-day sentence for body slamming a security guard, high school football star Jayru Campbell was once again arrested for assault on Friday. The former Michigan State recruit is supposed to be playing in his senior year at Detroit Cass Tech, where he won back-to-back Michigan state championships in 2011 and '12. Instead, he'll go back to jail for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in front of other students.

According to a report by Local 4,  sources say that Campbell tried to take his girlfriend's phone, pushing her to the ground in the process. Campbell then began reading text messages, choked and hit her in front of other students. He's been charged with robbery not armed, assault with intent to do great bodily harm and misdemeanor domestic violence.

The Detroit Free Press is also reporting that Campbell is being investigated for another unrelated assault that occurred in the Wayne County Jail. For more on this story, check out the video above.
