It looks like Granada defender Allan Nyom has been playing too much FIFA 94.

Last night the La Liga player recreated a famous glitch from the oldest title in the world's most popular football game franchise, as he tried to run away from the referee to avoid a booking.

After recklessly clattering into a Villarreal player during his side’s 0-0 draw on Sunday, Nyom tried to avoid the referee's gaze and sprinted to the other end of the pitch, leaving La Liga referee Carlos del Cerro Grande to play catch up.

With nowhere to run, it didn't take long for the ref to track Nyom down.

Maybe EA Sports can bring this feature back for FIFA 15.
