The Vikings and the NFL are going to have a hell of a time trying to figure out how to deal with Adrian Peterson's recent arrest on alleged child abuse charges. Reason being, everyone seems to have wildly differing opinions on whether or not AP did anything wrong when he disciplined his 4-year-old son earlier this year by hitting him multiple times with a switch.
Early yesterday afternoon, former NFL great Cris Carter appeared on ESPN and ripped Peterson for what he did. "You can't beat a kid to make them do what you want them to do," he said.
But at the same time, Charles Barkley made an appearance on CBS and defended AP. "We spank kids in the South," he said.
So who's right? Well, that seems to be the question that everyone is trying to answer right now. And unfortunately, it doesn't sound like everyone is going to come to any sort of agreement anytime soon.
