Timberwolves Go Old School, Announce Details of Kevin Love Deal in Newspaper Ad

Instead of going for the traditional approach of making a press release, the Minnesota Timberwolves went in a different direction.

None

For a little more than two weeks, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers have had the framework of a deal in place involving Kevin Love, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett. So, when the Aug. 23 deadline to make the trade official finally arrived, the Timberwolves decided to make the announcement by taking out an advertisement in Minnesota's St. Paul Pioneer Press

The ad features an image of their 2014 first-round pick Zach LaVine, Wiggins, Bennett and Thaddeus Young? Young, who the T'Wolves coveted as a replacement for Love, was also acquired by Minnesota through a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for Alexey Shved, Luc Mbah a Moute and a 2015 first-rounder received from the Cavs which originally belonged to the Miami Heat. If this is all starting to sound like six degrees of separation, you're not alone.

Take a look at a picture of the ad below.
