Kobe Bryant Has Been Studying How Paul Pierce Has Approached the Game of Basketball in Recent Years

Why is Kobe Bryant trying to be more like Paul Pierce right now? He told Sports Illustrated about it.

There's a lot of amazing quotes about everything from education to Kobe's feelings on Dwight Howard there. But one of the quotes that we found most interesting came when Kobe talked about "growing old." Specifically, SI points out that Kobe has spent time studying the way Paul Pierce has played in recent years. He wants to learn to be more efficient and believes that Pierce has mastered the art of efficiency on the basketball court.

"I'm going to max [my last two years] out, too, to do whatever I can," he said. "Leave no stone unturned, no water left in the sponge."
