Throughout his Hall of Fame-worthy NFL career, former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly proved his toughness over and over and over again by getting up every single time that he got knocked down. In the process, he led his team to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances back in the 1990s and solidified himself as one of the best QBs of his era. But at the moment, Kelly is fighting an opponent that's proving to be more difficult to beat than anyone that he ever lined up across from during his NFL career. That opponent is cancer.

As a result of the many radiation and chemotherapy treatments that he has undergone, Kelly has lost more than 50 pounds since being diagnosed with cancer last year. He has also had to spend a large portion of his life in a hospital bed. But over the weekend, ESPN put together a segment on Kelly for Outside the Lines and, as you'll see in the video above, Kelly has not let cancer keep him down. In fact, he's actually inspiring quite a few people out there by fighting cancer head-on and doing whatever he can to stay positive in light of everything that he's going through.

Watch the OTL clip to see what we're talking about. It was great to finally see some football on last night. But this was easily the best sports-related item that we saw on TV all weekend long.
