Delonte West is in a pretty good place in his life right now. He got married last year. He had a son that he named Cash. And although he's not on an NBA roster, his agent is trying to find a team willing to take a chance on him next season.

So after VICE Sports caught up with Delonte recently to talk about everything that's been going on with him lately, they were able to put together a pretty positive interview with him. And we would encourage you to watch the whole thing. There is one part of Delonte's past that he simply can't seem to shake, though. And you know exactly what we're talking about, right? Mmhmmm…That rumor about him and LeBron James' mom Gloria.

During their interview with Delonte, VICE Sports did ask Delonte about the rumor. And as he's done in the past, he denied it. But he provided an interesting sound byte about the rumor. He said that he chose to name his son Cash instead of "Delonte West Jr." because he didn't want him to have to answer questions about Gloria James for the rest of his life.

"I didn't want to name him Delonte West Jr.," he says at the 3:35 mark in the clip above. "I don't want my son going to school and people making fun of him for something his daddy did. He go to school and 'Oh, didn't your daddy have sex with LeBron momma?' He don't need to deal with all that."

Again, it's important to point out that Delonte told VICE Sports that he did not have sex with LeBron's mom in a different part of the interview that's not included in this clip. But it's interesting that that rumor is still affecting both him and now his family.

Outside of that, though, it looks like Delonte is doing well, which is obviously a great thing. Watch the entire video above to see just how well he's doing—and how hard he's trying to get one more chance in the NBA.
