According to Spanish media outlet AS, midfielder Xavi Hernandez will remain at FC Barcelona until the end of June, 2015, and possibly beyond. The 34-year-old Spanish international had been heavily linked with a move to upstart Major League Soccer club New York City FC, as well as Al-Arabi SC of the Qatar Stars League, but after talks with new manager Luis Enrique, it appears Xavi will indeed remain at the Camp Nou. Xavi made his first team debut for the Catalan side in 1998, and has since helped Barcelona capture seven La Liga crowns and three UEFA Champions League titles.
