University of Miami Linebackers JaWand Blue and Alex Figueroa were arrested and charged with sexual battery today, after turning themselves in for allegedly drugging and raping a 17-year-old girl. According to the Miami Herald, the incident occurred early Saturday on the Miami campus, and the two players, who have since been dismissed by the team and expelled by the university, came forward today regarding their role in the crime. Blue and Figueroa, who are both 20, said they bought the victim alcoholic drinks before bringing her back to Figueroa's dorm, where sexual acts occurred without consent. The University of Miami is conducting it's own internal investigation while cooperating with law enforcement. Further updates will be made as more information becomes available.
