Did you hate the sleeved jerseys that NBA players were forced to wear last Christmas? If so, you weren't alone. Just about everyone—including fans and players—hated them. So you'll be happy to hear that the sleeves won't be making a comeback in 2014.
According to Uni Watch, this year's NBA Christmas Day jerseys will be sleeveless. But that's not the only thing that will make them different from last year's jerseys. In addition to losing the sleeves, adidas is also adding the first names—yes, the first names—of players to the jerseys underneath of the jersey numbers on the back. So rather than having "JAMES" on the back of his jersey, LeBron James will have "LEBRON" on it. Rather than having "BRYANT" on the back of his jersey, Kobe Bryant will have "KOBE" on it. And, well, we think you get the point.
You can take a look at mock-ups of the Christmas Day jerseys in the thumbs gallery above. Not all of them will end up getting worn on Christmas Day (sorry, Jazz, Magic, and Bucks fans!) but the ones that do get used look like they'll be a big improvement over the 2013 Christmas Day jerseys.
