Following a semifinals match between Brazil and Germany yesterday which featured eight goals, Argentina and Netherlands couldn't find the back of the net once until they went into penalty kicks. But both sides surely came close.

Following a beautiful feed from Lionel Messi in the 75th minute, Gonzalo Higuaín wasn't able to finish the play, even though he was ruled offsides.

Then, in the 91st minute, with both sides staring down extra time, Arjen Robben was a foot, and by that, we're talking about Javier Mascherano's foot shy of possibly sending the Netherlands into the World Cup final.

As both sides pecked at one another here and there, Rodrigo Palacio posed a real threat when he nearly managed to get a header past goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen

While in penalty kicks, Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero was huge, stopping two shots and helping get his country one step closer to calling themselves the best in the world.

Argentina will take on Germany in the final on Sunday.
