Acura is recalling 14,078 2013-2014 ILX and ILX Hybridsedans due to a fire issue present in some of its headlights. Excuse the pun, but we knew the ILX was a fairly hot car...just not this hot.

Under certain conditions, the headlights don’t allow enough heat to dissipate when the vehicle is idling, and when compounded by summer heat or high engine bay temperatures, a few examples have been noted to smoke, melt, and even catch fire.

Don’t worry if you find yourself in an ILX today, Acura will replace your headlights free of charge with upgraded units beginning on July 28.
