Spain's World Cup Title Hopes Dashed

2010's World Cup Champion (Spain) loses to Chile 2-0, making them 0-2 and unable to advance out of Group B.

It's got to be agonizing. To wait four years and then get all of two games before your title hopes are dashed. But that's what happened to Spain after losing 2-0 to Chile this afternoon. The two goals that put a dagger in Spain's sack were scored by Chileans Eduardo Vargas and Charles Aranguiz. Combine that with their opening 5-1 loss to Holland, and--well--that's a wrap.

Seeing as how they won 2010's World Cup you'd think this would be easier to swallow? But nah. We highly doubt that. We're thinking Spain is extremely pissed right now (especially after that effort), while Chile fans (especially those who got away with charging in earlier) are elated.

We'll leave it to this random guy to sum it up best:

Assuming you're not from Spain of course.
