It's been almost a week now since Luis Suarez bit Giorgio Chiellini during the group stage of the 2014 World Cup. And although he's still referring to the bite as an accident that resulted from a collision, Suarez did issue a formal apology for his actions earlier today. He stopped short of admitting that he bit Chiellini on purpose during the match. But he does recognize that Chiellini suffered a bite and, for that, he is sorry:

The fact that he calls the bite "the physical result in the collision he suffered with me" is still a little bit weird. But at least he's ready to move on and has vowed not to bite anyone again. And for what it's worth, Chiellini is clearly ready to move on, too:
.@luis16suarez It's all forgotten. I hope FIFA will reduce your suspension.
Okay, guys. Now, no more biting!
