Oklahoma City and San Antonio may not leave the top of the West for a while, so the Warriors are going to have to make some moves if they want to be more than a second-round team. A recent rumor suggests they're doing just that.

So the Timberwolves would get a promising young guard with Klay Thompson and a more-than-reliable power forward in David Lee. Presumably, the rationale for the Timberwolves would be to build a team around Thompson with possibly some new upcoming talent. So including that lottery pick is a bit off.
The Warriors, on the other hand, are getting the Kevin Love, a good backup point guard in J.J. Barea and good add-on with Kevin Martin. Steph Curry probably thinks the Warriors would be out of their minds if they didn't take the offer (if it's true):
