If you were on the fence about dropping $850,000 on a plug-in hybrid, this might tip you over. Anyone who buys a Porsche 918 Spyder gets the privilege of calling a race car driver whenever they want. GT2 champion David Donohue has been hired as Porsche's designated 918 Spyder consultant.
We like to imagine Donohue has a bat phone just for 918 owners, but we can't confirm that's the case. He did say, however, that he doesn't have the option to say he's too busy to chat. Purchase the hybrid supercar and you can (maybe) throw back to those hour-long calls in middle school.
