Earlier this morning, the Dallas Police Department reported on their Twitter feed that Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib had been arrested at a club late last night:

.@dallaspd arrest Denver Bronco Aqib Talib for public intox after he was throwing bottles causing a disturbance. Talib was danger to self
...and others. Talib was intoxicated in a club causing a disturbance.
#BREAKING Talib was arrested at about 1:45 this morning after being escorted out of Club Syn in 1200 block of Main St. #NFL
#BREAKING Talib was taken to the Dallas Marshall's detention center where public intox prisoners are held and processed. #nfl

This was certainly a bad look for Talib, who just signed a six-year, $57 million contract with the Broncos this offseason. Expected to be a vital part of the secondary in 2014-15 and having battled off-field issues in the past, Talib could ill-afford to get into any further trouble.

Then, just two hours later, Dallas PD sent out another tweet:

#BREAKING CORRECTION - Yaqub Talib 31yrs old was arrested. My apologies to Aqib Talib. Original information reported was incorrect.

So, uh, woops? It turns out that the Talib in question being arrested was Aqib’s brother, not him. Apparently, the incident occurred at an “Official NFL Camp After Party,” which was also attended by several other NFL players.

None of them were mistakenly reported as being arrested, however.
