It looks like Kevin Ollie will be staying in UConn after all. Even after getting aggressively pursued by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ollie decided to remain the head coach of the Huskies. Of course, a nice pay increase probably sweetened the pot a little bit. With four years still remaining on his five-year, $7.5 million contract, the 41-year-old coach is reportedly close to agreeing to an extension which will bump up his yearly salary to $3 million.

While the payout is impressive for Ollie, who is entering his third-year on the sidelines next season, it is believed that he was looking to receive more than Steve Kerr who recently inked a five-year, $25 million deal with the Golden State Warriors. Still, an escape clause may have been worked out between both sides just in case another NBA team comes calling which draws Ollie's interest. So, don't rule out a jump to the next level just yet.
